1. Question: What materials can you use to prepare a lesson about grammar or to quickly check something during the lesson?

These sources mentioned above can be checked quickly. Don’t be afraid to say during your lession „I don’t know“, but either check the issue at once or if it would be too time-consuming, tell them „I“ll check it for the next lesson“ and also do it.

Exercise 1: This exercise is based on my own research. I collected the most frequent mistakes of 11 Esperanto-speakers, who want to become teachers, during the training Best Practices in Volunteer Language teaching. The mistakes were taken from their registered self-presentations,their homeworks and e-mails. While creating those they were unaware of the fact, that it would be used for this purpose. They are native speakers of European languages (Russian, Czech, Hungarian (2), French (2), Polish (3), German (2), Spanish and Catalan). According to this research I would conclude (despite the small number of participants), that those below are generally the most usual grammar mistakes of esperantists, who speak Esperanto well, but not perfectly. It is worth specifically concentrating on these grammatical elements in the case of such teachers/trainees. Below you can find these most common mistakes and possible explanations. By clicking on the topic and name, you can download the material created by the trainees.
